"Shannon the Planner” is what my friends and family have been calling me for years! So I often ask myself what took me so long to realize that I should be a travel agent? It began when I was a child and my parents would take us on vacation (which I absolutely loved!). I would often times take over the planning of it, much to my parents’ dismay! After losing my job in the commercial flooring industry (interesting, huh?), I decided to attend travel school in 2000 and then took a job with an agency shortly after “graduating”. I have been an agent ever since and have loved every minute of it! I am married and have 2 very active young men – who also have a love of travel! I’ll never forget taking my husband to Disney World for his first time in May 2004 and hitting all 4 parks in one day! I have over 25 years of experience booking honeymoons, family vacations and destination weddings to locations all over the world! Personally I have traveled all over the US including Alaska and Hawaii and have visited several Caribbean islands both on land vacations and cruises. My family and I are huge Disney fans and enjoy visiting Disney World (especially during the holidays) and cruising on Disney ships. I am a retired Registered Nurse who has always had a passion for travel. I left the health care field when I wanted to stay home and raise my two children. I have a very active family including two dogs who enjoy being out in nature. We love hiking, biking, swimming, and quiet walks on the beach.
My kids grew up with the magic of Disney World through cruises and theme parks and we still love to visit with them as adults. Things may have grown from character greetings to thrill rides for our family but it is no less exciting for us.
Some of our recent favorite travels have taken us to the Florida Keys and Hawaii as well as parts of Europe. Seeing other cultures helped inspire my son to do a travel abroad in Europe during college.
